Seaweed is the star of this mask: It infuses skin with vitamins and minerals while stimulating the production of collagen. Chlorella is a sea alga that is rich in the antioxidant vitamin A as well as zinc. Yogurt is the perfect base, as some of the skin-loving goodies in seaweed are water-soluble, while others are oil-soluble. Plus, the lactic acid in yogurt is a mild exfoliant, stimulating collagen production and leaving skin super soft and siren-worthy.
1. In a small bowl, mix the drop of essential oil into the yogurt base.
2. Add the kelp and chlorella, and mix until you have a smooth consistency.
3. Apply a generous layer of the mask, and let it sit for 10 to 15 minutes. (Do feel free to practice your siren song at this time.)
4. Rinse off with warm water and apply moisturizer.
This mask has a tiny bit of an odd odor but it’s a small price to pay! The essential oil does help mask the scent slightly, so if your nose is particularly sensitive, don’t skip out on that ingredient!
